My One Word for 2020

Hello Fellow Readers! Happy 2020!

For the past six years or so, I have chosen one word to focus on in different areas of my life. Going through transformation over the past few years from milk to meat, I realize that I must surrender my entire life to God. There is no way possible I can fully walk in my purpose if I don't!

So, in 2020, I choose to #Surrender my life according to God's will & purpose! I choose to follow His leading completely. I choose to live by the spirit and not the flesh. By doing so, I know I'm opening up the door for God's favor and blessings to enter my life.

My Focus Scripture: "'My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. ' - Galatians 2:20 NLT

My Prayer: Father God, as I embark upon a new decade, which I'm grateful to see, show me the areas of my life that I need to surrender unto You. Help me to relinquish what little control I may have to the leading of Holy Spirit. Lord God, most of all help me to hear when You speak that I may not fail to respond according to Your will. I give thanks for Your grace and mercy which is unlimited and unearned. I give all praise, honor and glory to You. In Jesus name. Amen

What one word can you think of that if you put a little more focus on applying it would change your life? What area could use a new perspective from God's point of view? Ask God for your one word, find a scripture and pray about it as often as you can. Watch as your life change!

Child Born - Son Given (Merry Christ-mas)

For a child is born to us,a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called:Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NLT

Let just say, oh what a Merry Christ-mas day it is! Today is the day we celebrate the most important births ever! The birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. No, the Bible doesn't give the actual day, but we know that it took place. Nonetheless, today is the day that we recognize the Savior of the world. He was a man child born to Mary and most importantly, He is the only Son of God. He is to be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. He is the Messiah, the Christ, who came to save the world from sin. His birth brought us and taught us how to live a sinless life and bear the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, kindness, patience, goodness and faithfulness. His birth was the first step in the redemption of our lives. And so, we celebrate the birth and life of Christ Jesus, the child born and the Son given.

As you enjoy your day, reflect back on the reason for the season! Give the gift of love! For God so loved us that He gave His only Son for our sins! Remember, the LIFE!!

Have a very Merry Christ-mas!

F.R.E.E. Yourself!

Good Monday morning to you all! We have less than a month before the decade arrives. Today, we are going to F.R.E.E ourselves. Forget the past. Relax in the moment. Expect God's favor. Enjoy life. When we live in the past by constantly reminding ourselves of the things we did or didn't do, we will continue to live in those terrible moments. It's time to stop reliving those events. We are simply allowing our past to hold us bondage. We are allowing people from our past to have a hold on us. Today, we are here to let it all go. Right now, in this moment, our past can no longer stop us from moving towards the future God has planned for us. A future with a hope. No longer will the person(s) who hurt us in the past affect how we feel or live.

Today, we release all anger, self-doubt, hate, depression and low esteem. We are the righteous of God through Christ Jesus who died that we may be set free. Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. We are Forgetting the Past. We are Relaxing in the Moment. We are Expecting God's Favor. We are Enjoying Life Abundantly! We are F. R. E. E.!

Hallelujah and glory to God!

Have a marvelous Monday & an awesome week!

One Love,

Valerie

'The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.' John 10:10 NKJV
